Can I trek Uganda gorilla from Kigali?

We have received several visitors wondering if they can fly to Kigali and then trek the Uganda gorillas. This is very true with Exclusive Uganda safaris, you can fly to Kigali in Rwanda and drive to Uganda to trek the gorilla in either Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park or Mgahinga Gorilla National park. Uganda is known as the country with the highest of endangered mountain gorillas and thus it has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Uganda. Gorilla trekking in this case involves the visitors moving from over the world coming to Uganda and walking into the jungle for a face-to-face encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas. Uganda is the only country in the world where gorilla trekking is carried in two parks that include Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Other than Uganda, Rwanda and the democratic republic of Congo also has gorillas.

Areas for gorilla trekking in Uganda

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park is one of the major places for gorilla trekking in Uganda and it is found in southwestern Uganda. The park harbors more than 19 habituated gorilla families that are open for tourists. The gorilla trekking activity in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is at its peak and the activity is done into 4 sectors of the park that include the Rushaga gorilla trekking sector, the Nkuringo Gorilla trekking sector, Buhoma Gorilla trekking sector, and Ruhija Gorilla trekking sector. All these sectors offer the visitors a unique experience because all have got the habituated gorilla trekking safari which makes the activity so much interesting.

Another interesting destination for Gorilla trekking in Uganda is Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is also found in southwestern Uganda in the Kisoro district mainly. Mgahinga Gorilla National park features only 1 habituated gorilla family which includes the Nyakagezi gorilla family and visitors still from Rwanda can easily visit this wonderful Park and enjoy several activities that it stands for including gorilla trekking and the Golden monkey trekking.

     Seeing Uganda Gorilla from Kigali

Yes, it is possible that the visitors can travel to Kigali and trek the Uganda gorilla in both Mgahinga and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National parks. The reason that is fuelling this is that it is quite shorter to drive from Kigali to Bwindi or Mgahinga Gorilla National park, in just 4 hours you will have reached the national parks from Kigali and this is shorter as compared to someone who has used Entebbe international airport to Bwindi or Mgahinga which will take you for about 9 hours and this makes the Kigali so much accessible as compared to Entebbe International Airport.

Also flying to Kigali International Airport makes the gorilla trekking so much cheaper as the gorilla trekking permit costs just $700 for the Foreign residents as compared to the $1500 and this means that you will be able to trek the gorillas on a cheap basis and this means that you will be able to save the money by trekking the gorilla trekking safaris and this makes it so much interesting. Additionally from Rwanda to Uganda, it is so much short and you will not travel for long distances. This is in any case impractical for visitors flying from Kampala or Entebbe airports, given that the most un-number of days for a gorilla trekking safari in Uganda is three, with the first day spent at the recreation area, the second day spent with the gorillas, and the third day spent flying back to Kampala or Entebbe.

Thus coming to Uganda for the gorilla trekking in Uganda through Kigali is one of the wonderful safari destinations that are cheap and so much convenient. as you move to Uganda for the gorillas through Rwanda, you will enjoy the beautiful rolling hills of Rwanda remember that Rwanda is known as the country with 1000 hills and this will make the safari so much interesting and wonderful for you to engage within the safari.

When the best time to see Uganda’s endangered mountain gorillas?

Visitors can see the gorillas in Uganda any time they want throughout the year. But the best time for seeing the gorillas is during the dry season and this is also the peak season for the and the area is less affected by the rainfall. Short brambles will be present in Bwindi Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, allowing you to identify mountain gorillas in the backwoods, and gorilla journeying pathways in the wilderness will be dry and comfortable, making gorilla trekking productive.

However, the gorilla trekking safari activity can also be done within the wet season. Uganda is the ideal place to go gorilla trekking because other than having half of the world’s mountain gorillas, it has an affordable gorilla trekking grant that caters to budget travelers, and the mountain gorillas in Uganda are found in two different areas. During the stormy season, the forestry receives a lot of rain, making access streets and gorilla transit pathways soggy and difficult to find. Although the blustery season makes gorilla travel difficult, there are a few advantages. For example, gorilla trekking grants will be less competitive, as late explorers will have the opportunity to apply; there will be fewer groups in public parks, and a few hotels will offer limits as a means of attracting customers.

Please come and book our Uganda gorilla trekking safari from Kigali and this makes you so much interesting.
