Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park is one of the most visited national parks that is found in southwestern Uganda and the park is known as the home for the endangered mountain gorillas.

Moving to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park will require the visitors to drive to the southwestern part of Uganda and visitors can access the park either through road transport or air transport. Visitors to Queen Elizabeth national park will have to drive to Ishasha sector where you will get a chance to see the climbing lions that are found climbing the trees and then continue to move Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park to get to the park headquarters and from Queen Elizabeth National Park, visitors will have to drive for about 4 hours to access the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. By use of public transport, you will be able to board the bus in one of the Kampala bus terminals through Mbarara Kabale and after here you will have to hire a special hire or the Boda Boda to take you to the park headquarters. There is also the bus that operated from Kampala up to Rukungiri and then from here you link up to the Nkuringo park headquarters for the Gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park can be accessed through the domestic airlines which operate in Uganda and these include the Aerolink Uganda limited that conducts the scheduled flights and the daily chartered flights from the Kajjansi or Entebbe international airport and then fly to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip.
The flights leave from Entebbe air terminal at 7:00 am, 10:15 am, and 12:00 pm and show up at Kihihi airstrip at 8:45 am, 11:25 am, and 2:40 pm separately. Guests leaving from the Kihihi airstrip will set off at 9:45 am, 11:40 am, and 2:45 pm and show up at Entebbe air terminal at 11:25 am, 1:30 pm, and 16:15 separately. Upon landing in the air terminal you will interface with the recreation area base camp by street in a safari vehicle. Visitors from Rwanda in fact can easily get to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park by flying to Kigali international Airport and the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park through the Katuna border or through using the Cyanika border and here you can trek the gorillas of Rushaga or Nkuringo sector. Blue-headed Sunbird, Neumann’s songbird, Handsome francolin, African wood owl, dark honey bee-eater, Rwenzori batis, western green handyman bird, Kivu ground thrush are among the bird species found in the park.
