The park is found in western Uganda and you can drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park and it lasts for about 410 square kilometers.     Queen Elizabeth National Park is so famous for the boat cruise safaris which are conducted at the Kazinga channel. The boat cruise at the Kazinga channel offers the best chance for the visitors to see and enjoy the wildlife animals which come close to the shores of the Kazinga channel. Lake Bunyonyi is found within the Kisoro and Kabale, the lake is known as the destination for the birds where its name originated. Lake Bunyonyi is 46 square kilometers (185 square miles) in size, with a range of 25 kilometers and a width of 7 kilometers. Lake Bunyonyi is situated at a height of 1962 meters above sea level, with a depth of 144 feet and a circumference of 900 meters.

     

    Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by sparsely populated towns which are located along the shores of the lake. The lake features more than 28 islands which you will explore once you have been taken to Lake Bunyonyi in the Kabale district. There are several safari activities that you can do and enjoy at Lake Bunyonyi and these include canoeing, visitors can as well engage in hiking safaris, the bewitching safaris and this is very much interesting, canoeing, exploring the small and the local towns, as well as several water spots. You can as well visit and engage in the pygmy visits around Lake Bunyonyi.

     

    Additionally, Lake Bunyonyi is near the Uganda border with Rwanda at Katuna and thus visitors can also easily move from Lake Bunyonyi and visit Rwanda.
