Packing List for the gorilla trekking safari

The endangered mountain gorillas form a popular touristy attraction in Uganda and Africa in general. As the result, the activity attracts several visitors who come to Uganda to enjoy the gorilla trekking activity. The gorilla trekking activity involves the visitors going to the forest and searching for the endangered mountain gorillas and once the gorillas are found within the wildness, they are allowed to see them for only one hour or four hours. Gorilla trekking in Africa is done in three countries of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Of all these destinations, Uganda has got the highest number of endangered mountain gorillas.

And in these countries, the gorillas’ parks include the Virunga and Kahunzi Biega National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mgahinga and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park in Uganda, and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. The eastern lowland gorillas which are bigger than the endangered mountain gorillas are also found in Africa and these can be traced in the democratic republic of Congo.

There are a lot of items that the visitor who is going for the gorilla trekking safari in Uganda or Africa should pack to have the wonderful gorilla trekking experience and these include;

Hiking shoes; makes sure that you pack the right hiking shoes that cover your ankle and those that will facilitate easy movement through the muddy areas or the sleepy ground and these as well keep you from being injured by tree branches that you might step on.

You also need to come with the Camera and extra batteries for the gorilla trekking safari. A camera is an important item to bring on a gorilla trekking safari since it allows you to take beautiful photos and record the minutes to show people back home after the safari. Cameras with streak lights are not permitted to be used for taking images.
