
Rushaga is the gorilla trekking sector with the hugest numbers of gorilla families in all four sectors of the park. This clearly shows that the sectors have got the highest number of gorilla permits that are located in each sector within the park. Rushaga gorillas trekking sector is found in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park which is located in the southwestern part of Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park is major found in the district of Kanungu and Kabale and it is the single destination harboring more than half of the population of the mountain gorillas remaining in the whole work.
Rushaga is the most visited gorilla trekking sector in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and this is attributed to the highest number of gorilla families that the sector has. Some of the gorilla families that are present in the Rushaga sector include the Bweza gorilla family, Kahungye gorilla family, Kasingye gorilla family, Mucunguzi gorilla family, Rwigi and Bikyingi gorilla families. This clearly shows that there are eight gorillas’ families in Rushaga sectors that are available for gorilla trekking.
Gorilla safaris in Rushaga sectors present an opportunity to the visitors to move through deep into the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to look for the habituated mountain gorilla family and once they have allocated the gorillas family, the tourists will spend only one hour looking, taking photos, recording and asking any question that they want to ask about the endangered mountain gorillas. visitors are informed that in Rushaga, the gorilla trekking activity starts early in the morning at the headquarters with then briefing where they are told of the rules and the regulations that the visitors will have to follow and later the visitors are dived into a group of eight people, given the gorilla family to trek. The visitors are given the gorilla family based on their preferences, physical fitness, and the availably of the visitors.
The gorilla trekking activity takes around 8 am in the morning whereby you will be able to go to the forest with the help of the guide and then start your activity in the forests engaging in the gorilla trekking safaris. You will use the established trails until you reach the places where the gorillas are.
Usually, the gorilla trekking may last from two to seven hours depending on the distances and the physical fitness of the gorilla families found and once you have found the gorillas, you will be able to take photos, watching the gorillas doing their visitors and several activities and these include learning more about the lifestyles, habits, behaviors and even making some short of the recordings.
Travelers who are planning to go to Rushaga for gorilla trekking should be able to book their gorilla trekking in advance such that you get the permit because at times these permits can be sold quickly since the sectors are well known and popular and thus come and book your permits early for this activity it is good that the visitors book their permits for about two to five months before their actual date of traveling to Uganda for the gorilla trekking experience in Rushaga. In case you want to trek the gorillas, you should be able to have the gorilla trekking permits and the gorilla trekking permits costs $700 for the foreign non-residents and then $600 for the foreign residents. You can as well engage in the Rushaga Gorilla trekking by booking the gorilla trekking permits from either the Uganda wildlife authority or the recognized tourism operator.
Visitors can as well engage in the gorilla habituation experience in Rushaga; the movement takes place early in the morning, around 7:30 a.m., and only four guests are allowed to participate in the activity. They are given the opportunity to spend four hours in close proximity to the gorillas as they acclimate. There is now just one family undergoing gorilla adjustment or habituation in the Rushaga area, which means there are only four grants available for gorilla adjustment experience. Unknown non-residents pay $1500, foreign residents pay $1000, and East African residents pay UGX 750,000 for a gorilla adjustment license. Guests interested in a gorilla adjustment experience should register ahead of time because the gorilla trekking permits are limited and frequently sell out.

With this experience, the visitors are allowed to see the gorillas for four hours as compared to the gorilla trekking which lasts for only one hour

Because there is less precipitation in the recreation area during the dry season, following the gorilla family is more rewarding because the frontage roads to Ruhija and gorilla journeying trails in the wilderness will be dry and acceptable, as opposed to the blustery season, which occurs from March to May and October to November, when there is heavy precipitation, making gorilla journeying trails and recreation area access streets and routes sloppy and thus trekking the Rushaga gorilla in the dry season is the best time for all the visitors who are interested in visiting Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park.
